APC Is a Major Threat to Nigerian Democracy, Says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a call to action for all Nigerians and individuals of goodwill, both within Nigeria and beyond, to unite against the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu in defence of the nation’s democracy, transparency, and the rule of law.

Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, speaking on behalf of the party via party official X account, has challenged the All Progressives Congress to provide transparency regarding Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University.

The PDP alleges that the APC’s lawyers in the United States are actively concealing Tinubu’s academic history from public scrutiny.

The party asserts that Tinubu’s legal team has taken steps to prevent the U.S. District Court of Illinois from releasing his academic records, which the PDP argues is a matter of public interest.

Tinubu had previously claimed to be a highly honoured graduate of Chicago University, holding a first-class degree, and insisted that he possessed verifiable proof.

The Peoples Democratic Party emphasizes that withholding Tinubu’s academic records would not only be a disservice to the Nigerian people but also to Bola Tinubu himself.

Furthermore, the PDP notes the recent fire incident at the Supreme Court building complex in Abuja and speculates that the All Progressives Congress has chosen to remain silent on the matter.

The PDP believes that efforts are being made to obstruct the Supreme Court’s handling of the presidential appeal brought against Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC on the Supreme Court.

The party also said that Nigerians expect transparency and accountability from APC, and failure to deliver on these fronts is worthy of condemnation.
