Nigerian social media influencer and prominent media activist, Daniel Regha, has condemned those praising Hushpuppi following his silence break from jail.
Regha emphasized that individuals expressing admiration for figures like Hushpuppi, often associated with internet fraud (commonly known as “Yahoo boys”), lack the moral high ground to denounce corrupt politicians or law enforcement.
He pointed out that Yahoo boys pose a significant challenge in Nigeria, causing harm to people’s lives and damaging the reputation of Nigerians on a global scale.
In a post on his social media platform, Regha stated, “Anyone endorsing Hushpuppi has no authority to criticize corrupt politicians or the police. Supporting Yahoo boys while expecting good governance is contradictory. We are all aware that Yahoo boys currently stand as a major issue in Nigeria, negatively impacting lives and bringing disgrace to Nigerians worldwide.”
