EEDC Announced System power collapse in the South East Nigeria

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced a total power system collapse across the southeast state of Nigeria.

This total blackout occurred on September 14, 2023, and affected all five states in the south-east, Ebonyi, Anambra, Imo and Enugu respectively.

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company also released a statement issued by their spokesman, Mr Ezeh Emeka, he said,

“Due to this development, all our interface Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) stations are out of supply. We are unable to provide service to our customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states.

“We are on standby awaiting detailed information of the collapse and restoration of supply from the National Control Centre (NCC), Osogbo,”

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) is a major utility provider in South East Nigeria. It serves several states, including Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo, and Abia. EEDC plays a crucial role in supplying electricity to homes and businesses in the region, contributing to economic development and daily life.
