The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has finally fixed a date for the 2023 presidential election. The petition was filed by the Labour Party candidate, Mr Peter Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The Nigerian 2023 presidential election was conducted on February 2023 by the major contestants including the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Ahmed Tinubu, Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwakwanso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP and other minor political parties.
Following the results from the Independent National Electoral Committee, Prof Mahmood Yakubu declared Ahmed Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election with an estimated 37 per cent votes.
The opposition parties are seeking justice in the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal and the date set for the judgment is 6th September precisely on Wednesday 2023.
