Virgil Van Dijk: Jurgen Klopp’s Dismayed At John Brooks Red Card (Newcastle Vs Liverpool)

Jurgen Klopp Liverpool’s coach may appeal the red card decision after watching the match profusely with ten men against Newcastle.

Liverpool’s renowned defender, Virgil Van Dijk sent off for a foul on Isak Alexander as ten-man Liverpool players surprise Newcastle with Darwin Nunez’s two goals.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak led to the dismissal of Van Dijk following a reckless tackle. Video Assistant Referee ( VAR) inspected the tackle and subsequently confirmed, while Virgil trudged the trunnel with iteration.

John Brooks ended Virgil’s match in the first chaotic half as he denied the Swedish striker Isak Alexander goalscoring opportunities. Van Dijk will miss only one match though there is no confirmation yet.

However, Virgil Van Dijk will miss the next Premier League match against Aston Villa at Anfield Field next week Sunday.

“Mark Clattenberg text me and said ‘I understand the call that it’s a foul the referee thinks it’s denying a goalscoring opportunity. I never thought red at the time and I still do not think it’s a clear and obvious red card.’”
